I’m Alex, founder and principal of Alex Adamson Design a full-service boutique interior design firm.
My general philosophy is that the best homes don’t feel brand new—they feel lived-in, layered with character, and full of historic charm. I’m obsessed with the details that make a house feel personal and warm, whether it’s a new build or a century-old space. Natural materials that age beautifully, classic design with modern silhouettes, and homes that feel nostalgic—like they could’ve been designed a long time ago. It’s the small, deliberate choices that do the heavy lifting, creating spaces that feel timeless and uniquely yours.
This is where I’m sharing my thoughts on design—why the best homes make you question when they were built and how thoughtful details make all the difference. I’m also sharing pieces I’d buy, vintage finds that need a home (I wish I could keep everything, but since I can’t, I’m sharing them with you), and a little bit of what’s inspiring me lately.
